Frank Herrlich

Once a year in the last week before Christmas the Karlsruher Weihnachtsworkshop takes place with talks from geometry and number theory.

The Weihnachtsworkshop 2024 will take place from Monday, December 16 to Wednesday, December 18 in Saarbrücken. Here is the poster of the workshop.

Talks will be given by

Simon Barazer (Paris): Directed ribbon graphs and acyclic decomposition Laurent Bartholdi (Saarbrücken): Automata for the Thue-Morse subshift Thomas Dubbe (Rostock): Zeros of the ζ-function near 1 and the Large Sieve Elia Fioravanti (Karlsruhe): The pressure metric on quasi-Fuchsian spaces Manuel Kany (Saarbrücken): Arithmeticity of the Kontsevich-Zorich monodromy of origamis Benjamin Klopsch (Düsseldorf): Hausdorff dimension in p-adic analytic pro-p groups Bernhard Köck (Southampton): Computing modular representations given by poly-differentials on Drinfeld curves Bram Petri (Paris): Random hyperbolic surfaces with large systoles Miguel Prado (Frankfurt): The isoresidual curve on genus zero Anja Randecker (Heidelberg): Ramsey properties of big mapping class groups Jan-Christoph Schlage-Puchta (Rostock): A Monte-Carlo algorithm to estimate the index of the Veech group of an origami Johannes Schmitt (Zürich): Euler characteristics of strata of k-differentials Maximilian Wackenhuth (Karlsruhe): On sphere packing bounds conjectured by Cohn and Zhao Ivan Yakovlev (Bordeaux): Metric ribbon graphs
