Weihnachtsworkshop on Geometry and Number Theory 2025

Once a year in the last week before Christmas the Karlsruher Weihnachtsworkshop takes place with talks from geometry and number theory.

The Weihnachtsworkshop 2025 will take place from Monday, December 15 to Wednesday, December 17 in Karlsruhe.

Talks will be given by

Konstantin Bogdanov (Saarbrücken): Infinite-dimensional Thurston theory and holomorphic dynamics

Felix Cherubini (Augsburg): Synthetic algebraic geometry

Thomas Dubbe (Rostock): Applications of k-dimensional sieves

Sebastian Engelhardt (Saarbrücken): The dessins d'enfants stemming from boundary points of Teichmüller curves of origamis in H(2)

Erick Gordillo (Heidelberg): Quantitative weak mixing property for linear involutions

Elise Goujard (Nantes): Volumes of odd strata of quadratic differentials

Fabian Januszewski (Paderborn): Cohomology of arithmetic groups and integral structures on automorphic representations

Vitezslav Kala (Prag): Universal quadratic lattices and Northcott property of infinite number fields

Claudio Llosa (Karlsruhe): The Boone-Higman conjecture for locally finite trees
