  • Abstract: The Cohen-Lyndon property, introduced in the 60s, is a property of group presentations (equivalently, 2-complexes) that encodes a ``strong form’’ of asphericity. In this talk, we will introduce this property and explain how it relates to coherence, and to the study of immersions into 2-complexes. Based on joint work with Henry Wilton.
