About me
I am the head of a young investigator group in Geometric Group Theory and Complex Geometry. You can find detailed information on my research, my research group and my CV on my personal webpage. You can also find my CV, including my publication list and teaching activities here.
The current members of my group are:
- Matteo Migliorini (Postdoc, since 10/2023)
- Jannis Weis (PhD student, since 11/2023, in co-supervision with Roman Sauer)
and former members were:
- Jeronimo Garcia Mejia (PhD student, 10/2020 - 09/2024, now a postdoc at the University of Oxford)
- Gabriel Pallier (Postdoc, 10/2022 - 08/2023, now Maître de Conferences at Université de Lille)
I am currently a PI of the AEI-DFG Grant "Mapping class groups from above and below" with researchers in Bilbao, Karlsruhe, Madrid und Münster und an international associate member of the ANR Grant "Groups in Algebraic Geometry". From 04/2021 until its end in 09/2025 I was a PI of the RTG 2229, for which I was also the organiser of the Karlsruhe RTG colloquia.
My young investigator group is part of the AG Topology and Geometric Group Theory and I am one of the organisers of our AG Seminar Topology and Geometric Group Theory, of the joint Geometry Days with Heidelberg and Straßburg, and I organise the GGT Journal seminar.
I was also one of the organisers of the following events:
- Finiteness properties workshop at KIT (23.2. - 25.2.2022).
- Complex geometry and Geometric Group Theory workshop at KIT (26.09. - 30.09.2022).
- Special Geometry Day at KIT (31.01.2023).
